Nioxin: Purifying Exfoliator

• Always wear gloves when applying Nioxin Purifying Exfoliator professional treatment to a client's hair.
• Apply to dry scalp and hair in a grid pattern.

 Vertical:

• Place the applicator tip near the scalp at the center front of the client's hairline.
• Apply product to scalp from front hairline to back hairline.
• Working in vertical sections no more than 1" (2.5 cm) apart, apply to entire scalp.

Horizontal:

• Apply product from ear to ear, over the top of the client's head.
• Working in horizontal sections no more than 1" (2.5 cm) apart, apply to entire scalp.
• Apply product to entire hairline.
• Take care to keep product out of client's eyes.
• Massage the scalp gently for 5-6 minutes using the Circle-in-Circle massage technique.
• The massage will help to process the removal of residues, as well as distribute the product throughout the scalp.
• No heat required.
• After processing, allow for a 3-minute pause, then rinse product from client’s scalp and hair with warm water, while gently working the treatment out of the scalp and hair.

Style as usual.

This is a single application product only: please discard any remaining Purifying Exfoliator treatment.

Tips for application on clients with medium to long hair:

For ease of control, section the hair into 4 quadrants: 2 front and 2 back. Create the grid of product on the scalp in each quadrant. Complete 1 quadrant before moving to the next. When giving the massage, make sure your hands are under the hair and on the scalp; massaging the scalp skin is the goal.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

For clients with colour-treated hair: use in between colour services for best results.
